GLONASS
GLONASS is an acronym for Global Navigation Satellite System. It's a Russian global positioning system that's similar to the United States' Navstar system.
The first satellites for GLONASS were launched in the early 1980s. Today, GLONASS has fewer satellites and is not as widely used as the United States' GPS system.
