GPS receiver

A GPS receiver is an electronic device that uses signals transmitted by GPS satellites to determine its location (latitude, longitude and elevation).

Consumer models are often used for outdoor recreation or vehicle navigation. Some models are designed for specialized uses such as tracking an athlete's performance while running or biking.

GPS receivers come in a variety of form factors. Handheld and dash mounted designs are the most popular, but you can also find models designed to be worn with a wrist or arm band.
